The Morehouse Multimedia Center (MMC) is the college’s premier creative hub, positioned to empower students, faculty and staff as change agents through journalism and digital storytelling. We do this work by providing professional-grade facilities, equipment, and hands-on training while innovating in pedagogy to prepare the next generation of media leaders.

Strategic Goals for the MMC

Provide students, faculty, and staff with the technical mastery and professional-grade resources needed to produce high-impact digital content across all academic disciplines.

Partner with faculty to integrate multimedia tools into the curriculum, transforming traditional classroom experiences into immersive, hands-on learning environments.

Maintain a state-of-the-art inventory of hardware and software, ensuring that every member of the Morehouse community has equitable access to the industry-standard technology required for modern storytelling.

Serve as the campus "creative commons" where cross-departmental projects can flourish, bringing together diverse perspectives to solve problems and tell the Morehouse story.

Equip students with a professional portfolio and the "soft skills" of creative direction, preparing them to not just enter the media landscape, but to lead and disrupt it.

The Morehouse Multimedia Center (MMC) is seeking to raise $2 million to establish a permanent Innovation Endowment. This funding opportunity transitions the MMC from its successful "soft launch" into a sustainable, world-class ecosystem where academic theory meets professional application. By institutionalizing the MMC Directorship and expanding our state-of-the-art resources, we ensure that every Morehouse student for years to come has equitable access to the industry-standard technology required to lead in a dynamic media landscape.
