This advancement in experiential learning and classroom innovation was made possible by the generous support of Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand, which in 2021 committed more than $1 million to fund scholarships and academic programming for Morehouse College students studying journalism and sports-related fields. Through the opening of the Morehouse Media Center, the transformative investment from Jordan and Jordan Brand continues to fuel opportunities for future journalists and multimedia creatives. It provides students with a dynamic space to hone their skills and produce high-impact stories across traditional, digital, and multimedia platforms, helping to build a diverse talent pipeline for global media organizations.
The celebration will commence with a press conference, where college leadership and key stakeholders will share their vision for the center and its impact on Morehouse students and the broader creative community
Following the press conference, members of the press are invited to attend the ribbon cutting and general tour, marking the official opening of this transformative space.
